How HC Equipment Australia handles information you share with us.

Information we receive
When you contact us by email, phone or a prepared website enquiry, we may receive your name, company, email address, phone number, site suburb, equipment interests, capacity, model or serial number, battery or charger details, and any other information you choose to include. We also keep the correspondence needed to respond to your enquiry and manage our business relationship.
How the enquiry form works
When you submit the website enquiry form, the information you enter is transmitted to Formspree, our hosted form provider. Formspree processes and stores the submission and sends a notification to our sales email so we can respond. You can instead contact us directly at sales@hcequipment.com.au or call 1800 917 828.
Why we use information
We use enquiries to respond, prepare quotes, check equipment compatibility and availability, arrange requested sales or service discussions, and maintain records of our communications. Where necessary to answer your request, we may share relevant details with the manufacturer, suppliers, service partners or providers who support our operations. We do not add you to a marketing list simply because you request a quote.
Website technologies and outside services
The product comparison feature saves your selected products in your browser's local storage so you can compare them later. Form submissions are processed by Formspree. The site does not currently include a first-party analytics or advertising tracker. Pages load fonts from Google Fonts and icons from jsDelivr; the providers may receive technical data such as your IP address when your browser requests those resources. Some product videos load from YouTube only when you choose to play them. Those providers handle data under their own policies. The web host may also keep technical access or security logs.
Storage, access and correction
Website form submissions may be stored in our Formspree account and delivered to our email and business records, with access limited to people who need the information to respond or operate the business. Formspree states that its service is hosted using Amazon Web Services in the United States. We retain information as needed for enquiries, business records and applicable obligations, then delete or de-identify it when no longer needed. Form, email, hosting and other service providers may process information outside Australia.

Privacy questions and complaints

If the Privacy Act applies to the matter and you are unhappy with our response, you may be able to complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner.
